Aegis ATC has supported the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) with helicopter operations and helibase support across at least two fire seasons, with five separate engagements on record — not a one-time call-up, but a working relationship CAL FIRE has returned to repeatedly.

Aegis ATC's CAL FIRE engagements have run under both day-rate and extended-rate structures — a single-day helicopter operations module for a short-duration need, and an extended-rate module for fire activity that runs longer than a day or two.
