Who We Are

Between them, Dan and Alex bring more than 50 years of air traffic control experience across military, commercial, and wildfire operations — in both conventional towers/approach controls and mobile deployments. That depth underpins Aegis ATC's 12 years in the field.

Dan — FAA Supervisory Controller (California) & Officer, Oregon Air National Guard
Dan works as a supervisory controller in the FAA system in California and serves as an officer in the Oregon Air National Guard. That combination — active civilian air traffic control leadership alongside military service — gives Aegis ATC direct, current insight into how commercial and military airspace actually operates.

Alex — Air Traffic Control Facility Manager & Officer (Ret.), Oregon Air National Guard
Alex has managed air traffic control facilities and served as an officer in the Oregon Air National Guard before retiring from military service. That facility-management background is what keeps an Aegis ATC deployment running to the same operational standard as a permanent tower.
